Another Widget

Another Widget is an app that lets you create your own widget where you can see the date, weather information, and alerts for the events on your calendar. Basically, the same features offered by the widget used by the Google Pixel 2 launcher.

The only downside to its flexibility is that you have to make a few adjustments in order to really get the most of it. For example, in order to have it show the weather information, you have to create an account with OpenWeather and enter the key of the API that they give you in the corresponding field. For the calendar messages, you can choose the frequency or how soon you receive alerts for upcoming events, as well as how often they're refreshed.

To insert Another Widget on your home screen, you just have to treat it like any other widget, accessing the corresponding menu and placing it where you want it on the screen. You can also adjust the size, which, in order to simulate the Google Pixel 2, you'll have to put it in the upper part of the screen and make it as wide as possible.
